Stage veteran Maya Ghosh talks about her early days and how she got initiated to the world of theatre acting. Right from her early adolescence she used to appear in the community plays staged in her neighborhood. And an informal casting call led to her first encounter with the legendary Ajitesh Bandopadhyay. She recalls how impressed she was with the legend’s persona; his sense of courtesy, his command over his craft and his original thinking about the medium. In the very first meeting she picked up valuable lessons that’d continue to serve her profession in years to come. For Maya Ghosh, that one encounter almost ensured a lifelong association with the stage.
