Ankita Majhi, contemporary important Bengali theatre actress, believes in keeping a professional attitude and maintaining complete honesty, working in Theatre. Incidentally she doesn’t believe in the concept of belonging permanently to a group even though she admits that group theatre is certainly a very good point of initiation. But firstly, in order to sustain with honesty and sincerity to theatre itself, it is not practically possible to operate in the manner of traditional theatre groups. And secondly, working within the same group becomes constraining for an actor after a while. The way she defines professionalism is not merely money minded thing but about putting in honest hard work and keep working irrespective of the inconsistent financial situations.
